11thAnnual Springdale Sprint! An Austin classic. Test your mettle with this challenging run. Do the whole thing and get an awesome giveaway! Do part of it and get maybe something. How many have you done? RESTAURANT CHOICE TO BE DETERMINED BY RAFFLE. DETAILS LATER IN THE SUMMER.
Hills and heat: Hills and heat.
Austin Beer Works: Take a tour (if they’re still giving them by the time we’re done) of one of Austin’s own breweries and chill with a beer and some grub from their food truck. Not a beer nut? BRING YOUR OWN WINE!
Easy (mostly flat): It’s flat, so DO MORE MILES! Explore a part of Austin you probably don’t see very often, if ever. With mostly flat, fast routes through neighborhoods, interspersed with some industrial sections, you’ll be more interested in the new route than the workout. Tack on a few extra miles tonight.
El Taquito: Old-school Tex-Mex in the heart of hipster heaven. Get a schooner margarita and make sure to get some fresh salsas from the salsa bar.
Big Hills and Flat Trails: Hit the hills in the neighborhood behind El Taquito for 4-6 miles, then cool down with a nice 2-4-mile spin through the trails east of Pleasant Valley.
Patrizi’s: A long-standing Italian food truck, with an old-Austin outdoor atmosphere and great meatballs. Located on Manor, a block east of Chestnut.
Rolling Hills: Warm up 1-3 miles. Charge the ups and recover the downs for 4-6 miles. Cooldown 2-4 miles.
